yep. very de tiring.

will blog more about the trip to east coast later with photos – stayed at villa danialla. definitely not something i’d like to do on a regular basis..as per what amir advised my other brothers  ”nanti korang nye turn carik bakal bini yg duduk kat pj/kl dan yang sewaktu dengan nya..”. but still managed to squeeze in two kenduris in one day – which we haven’t achieved in actually doing in a longgg longg while.. so yeay us!

now am on a business trip down south.

got to reconnect with ex-colleagues @ senibong seafood village after landing on jb soil & settling in the hotel i’ve been put up at – finding our way there was interesting as you have 3 out-of-towners trying to navigate jb roads with just gps for reference.. but food was good apart from the extra sour tomyam / over garing super expensive garoupa (or is it grouper?)

just had ayam penyet dinner with my tag team here + her fiance @ benafe restaurant. different presentation from wong solo’s version but no less yummy. the fact that the portion is larger is definitely no biggie for this pregnant mama. jee even commented that i cleaned my plate better than them – they haven’t seen me back in my college days

.. and now am waiting for the chance to see a friend from uni days.

and suddenly this weekend is full of things i wanna do

• just found out that oga day is this weekend – now if only i can get the visa
• old housemate from melbourne days is now in town (kl, i mean).. and i’d like to meet her with another old housemate who also lives in kl – shouldn’t be an issue with this visa
• there’s the next swimming lesson on sunday.. i just hope i haven’t forgotten how to breathe
• and finally, the long delayed session with ain – pre-approved visa

that’s actually more activities than my average weekend would look like! i’m on on a roll~!!

ohh.. and then there’s to hoping the kick-off goes well friday.

it was a great movie to say the least. the cut-over to some scenes are a bit choppy – dunno whether it’s intentional. totally a movie to be watched with your girlfriends.. and for the guys, yeah – you should go and see the movie too – but if you want to maintain your macho persona – make sure it’s not with your spouse/gf as the guy beside me actually cried during the last scene.

wops.. will continue this review later – the kids are screamin for my attention.. do know though that the tune that got stuck in my head from the movie is the hindi track..

within the first week of february, we welcomed two new arrivals to this excellent place we call earth.

on feb 1st – also federal territory day – kakcik was blessed with the arrival of a baby boy. all my attempts or plans to visit her at maternity ward, hkl kept getting thwarted either by a cranky daughter, discussions that ran into hours or by having to kowtow to clients.

after sheepishly text-ing her to apologise for not managing to visit, was duly informed that the baby (whom i shall refer as chong jr – since i somehow forgot to ask kakcik whether she’s finally decided on a name) has since  been transferred to the pediatric unit from ICU and that there’s a ban on visitors – even for close family members. my prayers are with the two – for chong jr to grow strong enough to go home and for kakcik to keep strong!

then on feb 3rd, it was anaqi’s birthday – ayu has been asking me when the birthday party would be – i was never big on doing birthday parties, but this year, there was conscious decision not to celebrate. he has turned two and true to form, is becoming more of a terror – but of the cutesy type..

at 9pm on feb 5th, got a text msg announcing the good news to arrive in marlin’s household!… a baby girl, weighing in at 2.4kgs, was delivered at naluri medical centre. now, since this is like a stone’s throw away from my home – there was no excuse not being able to find time to head there.

so today, after a foiled attempt to register kakak at her pre-schools tae-kwan-do class (the instructor sms-ed to say she is unwell only 30 mins after the promised 10:30am), we headed over to naluri medical.

now, my babies all weighed 3kgs and above – and are a handful to carry even from the start. but baby hana is so petite.. i didn’t even dare to ask to hold the baby..

congratulations to kakcik+chong and marlin+kamal! don’t hesitate to ask me for advice – since i’ve been around the block 2x

so there you have it.. who would’ve thought that the budak itams’ offsprings would have birthdays one day apart from each others?

… from yakking non-stop from 10++ to 2pm… that’s what happens when you end up meeting your best mate after 6 months. we had drinks @ coffee bean.. then relocated to sushi zanmai for lunch..

i know i have been remiss in keeping up with friends.. blame it on the almost crazy days at work.. it’s mainly my fault for not making the time.. but when you arrive home only at 8pm ++ … and realise that it’s nearly the kids’ bedtime and you count the waking hours you can spend with them – it seems almost a crime to even think of meeting with friends.

but in this case, she’s about to pop out a tot.. and i have yet to see her in all her pregnant glory in person- facebook really can’t replace IRL meetings.

it’s good to be able to unload and talk things over with her. i miss the camaraderie – which was built over 7-odd years .. being able to talk about nearly everything… we’ve only really got into a tiff 2x over the 7 years… once was work-related .. and another was so dumb, i’d rather not mention here.

it sucks that she’s in sunway & works in pj .. while i am in wangsa maju and work in kl… we’re confined to weekends to meet up.. and you know weekends normally take a life of its own when not planned ahead.

to kakcik… my advice – for all its worth

• hang in there.. don’t get too stressed and don’t sweat the little things..
• remember that there’s a living, breathing creation within you – who’ll be popping out in two weeks’ (or less) and who will love you unconditionally
• increase your fibre intake !!! i can’t stress too much..
• these last few weeks.. keep track and make sure the baby is active from between 9am – 9 pm (ensure the baby moves at least a minimum of 10x or is it 20x?..)
• and… call the police if that creepy lady from work still stalks your new home

and don’t forget to buzz me if you get the sign!!! i will endeavour to be there upon hearing your safe delivery!!!!!!!!
