my first letter to a local authority
6 07 2008i usually couldn’t be bothered to write complaints or suggestions - mostly due to my lack of faith in the system. but as this was a matter that was close at heart, i tried to submit my complaint, just to see whether anything would come of it.
true enuff - it’s been > 1 months since their response below and although the enforcement officers did drop by but yet nothing positive has been done. i even tried to follow up but all the email addresses listed below bounced back!
oh well - time for my next course of action - to forward this to the local assemblyman!

Subject: Complaint on Inconsiderate Parking @ Keramat Permai Business Centre
To whom it may concern,
I would like to submit my complaint with regards to a tenant/unit owner’s inconsiderate parking at Jalan AU 1A/4E, Taman Keramat Permai. My family and I regularly patronise the clinic located at No 16 (Ground Floor) on the street and most of the time I would make use of the parking bays made available on the street.
There have been instances whereby we would need to drop off the patient infront of the clinic first as no parking bays are available nearby. This, in principle, should not be hard to do as the side of the street adjacent to the shoplots have been marked as no parking and waiting zone from my observation
However, I have noticed that a specific vehicle will always be parked at the front of the clinic at the inconvenience of others – making it difficult for patients to be dropped off (esp. elderly, critically ill, pregnant ladies)
I was made aware by the operator of the clinic that the vehicle belongs to an owner of upper shop-lot unit and that either one of that person’s car would always occupy that spot. And if there’s any time that both cars are not occupying the spot – the unit owner would then place chairs/stools to ‘reserve’ that spot for his/her use.
Apparently, the good doctor had sent a letter herself with regards to the matter but was informed by MPAJ that she should instead pay season parking fees for the use of her patients – which is not the issue at hand.
Another point that I would like to highlight is the fact that the no waiting/parking marker (yellow lines) is either unfinished/incomplete at exactly the spot that the unit owner is occupying – this raises doubts as to the reason why the line is not complete. A normal person would assume this is to the convenience of that specific person as without that marking on the spot – no enforcement officer can issue the vehicle owner a ticket for parking offences. Attached photos of the incomplete road markings and the vehicle in question.
I would like to suggest that MPAJ send in their enforcement officers to carry out the following:
·        Investigate the validity of my claim (of the incident)
·        Instruct that  the owner of the vehicle to no longer occupy the spot
·        Suggest to the owner to undertake season parking to reserve a proper parking bay on the street Jalan AU1A/4E
Note:
I have previously been issued 2 ticket for either failing to pay parking fees or having an expired ‘Pay and Display’ ticket at the same street – but I have never noticed the said vehicle WEF9773 (which is parked at a no parking/waiting zone) being issued a ticket in the numerous times I’ve seen it occupying that spot.

walau, not bad huh pompuan…first time aku dengar. hahaha..
and no action as yet. just went to the clinic again and the bloody car is still there. the unfinished/incomplete line is still as it was 2 months ago.
god grant me the patience - else, next clinic visit will see the car in less than pristine condition
oh by the way, had wanted to write the letter in malay - but coz u weren’t around to help vet it, decided against it and lantak la! takkan tak paham bahsa kot?
STILL WAITING FOR THE AUTHORITY TO CHECK & HELP US TO MAKE SURE THE ROAD IS NOT FLOODED
Please check out the illegal squatter houses in front of No: 266 & 267, Jalan8, Kampung Baru Ampang,68000 Ampang.
The water they used/urined was seeping out/flooding to the road making it impossible to for residents to walk by, Please check it.
And they have various drenches at the side of the road so that the dirty is flooding the road especially in front of my house.
One of the neighbour has make a report with MPAJ on 15/7/08 , and is STILL waiting for them to come to check it out .
Thank you.

Normally the dirty water will start seeping to the road daily at around 4pm/5pm every day

Further to my complain about illegal squatter houses in front of No: 267, Jalan8, Kampung Baru Ampang,68000 Ampang.
And now they have dug a man-make fish pond and the water was also seeping to the road .
And they have dug various drenches at the side of the road so that the dirty water is flooding the road especially in front of my house.
We have try to cover up the drenches but to our dismay , this guy will dig again every sunday morning at around 6.30 am to 7.30 am. This guy is living/staying at no :275 , jalan 8,kampung Baru Ampang. The funny thing is that his home is being used as a DAP Centre, instead of helping out the residents here, the youngest member of this family is bring trouble to at no:266,267, 268 at Jalan 8. Because we are afraid the flooded water at the road will bring illness (dengue fever to residents here.)
PLSE CHECK IT.
still no action from the authority, wonder if they are sleeeing or dreaming
