i hv this dependency on online services.. atm-ebanking etc..basically anything that does not require me to go to the counters!

but today’s not my day ..

my bills are due

my car repayments are due

i usually settle them online.

i have a few banks that i deal with - and it worked fine so far. what with online banking and atm machines - i can live without having to talk to a single bank officer!

but today - the cdm (that’s cash deposit machine for you clueless ppl) is out of order - which means i can’t deposit cash to my hirepurchase account. so now i hv to go to the counter - but lunch time crowd (and it’s payday week) is unbelievable.

 

and today, maybank2u is experiencing login problems - so not only am i unable to pay my own bills.. me parents’ are also going to be delayed. hopefully that issue will be resolved by lunch so i can settle ‘em bills before they’re due!

nyahaha.. the bane of being on fb.. and my punishment for being so kiasu and adding everyone whom i’ve had acquaintance with. but then, i’d rattheer (demm this keeyboard> keep ending up haviing ddoublee of letteers i type> weird.)

OK. back to where i was. i’d rather take stock and recall whom i’ve had the pleasure to know before i grow too old to remember!

but after being unable to check out my req page - and keep defering it.. i am sorely tempted to use the not-so-newly introduced ‘ignore all requests’ button.

however, most of you would’ve given a lot of consideration when sending the req/invites. so the least i could do is go thru it.

on another note- would suggest those who wants to find something to do on a weekend morning that doesn’t cost a bomb - try horse-riding @ titiwangsa for myr1 a pop. will expand on that later.

oh. and ziah’s post mentioned milo-van-sukan-skolah - and it triggered a recollection (yett aggaiin) of this vendiing machhine hot choc thatt if memory served me well, was awesomee.. aand pretty muchh sppoiled me foor anny other so-callled hot chhoc offeriings - be itt att the 10-bucks a cup cafes or buatt snnirrii versiion.

annyone hv anny recoommeendattions for hot chocs to try?

whilst nursing anaqi after his tumble-and-bump incident last nite, kakak came into the room once jojo’s circus was done on the telly. she plunked herself on her side of the mattress and the gist of the conversation that ensued as follows:

kakak: ma, where’s baba?

me: baba’s out playing badminton with his friends. why?

kakak: how many will he be back? (this actually translates into ‘how long till he gets back?)

me: probably 10pm..

kakak: why is he soooo late, ma?! i want baba to be home!

me: mama’s home.. don’t you want me?

kakak: (after pondering a bit) i love you both la ma………    but i want baba!

me: why do you want baba? is it because mama’s with adik so nobody’s playing with you?

kakak: haaaaa….

at this point, thankfully anaqi has dozed off - and was able to snuggle up with kakak while she in turn drifts off.

anak.. oh anak!… nasib ler baru ada dua org….

the last incident was 7 months ago…

was in the kitchen earlier - kakak asked for her milk. yes, she still takes it in the bottle. and anaqi was watching jojo’s circus on playhouse disney while kakak was at the dining table - drawing up some new masterpiece.

suddenly, i heard the static sound that comes from the telly when it’s not tuned in to any channel. anaqi likes to switch the channels when his sister is engrossed with the telly and as per his normal reaction, he started to whine - he’s a bit scared of the noise.

normally, he would just go into commando mode - lie face-down and pretend the telly can’t see him until either parent picks him up or switch back to astro mode

i proceeded to quickly finish preparing kakak’s milk - anaqi continued to wail… when suddenly,

BUMPP!!!

aik?? he couldn’t have made that loud a sound if he was crawling to find me? … i rushed to the living/dining area and couldn’t locate him at first. looked around and spotted him on the floor in between the sofa and dining table!

he had actually clambered up the sofa.. and in his haste to get closer to his sister - ended up falling off the back of the sofa…

it was only when i picked him up and started fussing that the whine turned into a full-blown cry… washed his face while reciting the selawat .. and gave him zamzam water to drink - all the while hoping that he doesn’t sudden barf.

after a few minutes of fussing, he calmed down and i managed to nurse him to sleep.

that teaches me to ignore him when he’s frightened.

in less than two weeks, me partner-in-crime will be doing her dirty deeds elsewhere. organised a small farewell lunch to celebrate her leaving. more rundown later. need to prepare the kids’ stuff for school & nenek’s place - else, i’d be short of time tomorrow!
