on anaqi:
he turned 8 months last wednesday. have yet to do this month’s checkup as busy with raya preparations - my GP is also already on leave. so after raya will know how much he gained - in terms of weight.
he is now a bit more mobile - being concerned that his grandson is not a bouncing baby, my dad started placing anaqi in a baby walker to kinda force the boy to use his legs.
he still doesn’t bounce in the way my dad wants him to but he jigs (only upper portion of the body is bouncing - think endang or dikir barat) and pushes himself around in the walker.
i think he may have inherited my love for dance and beat coz for no apparent reason, he’d be getting jiggy widdit whenever he feels like it.
noteworthy:
am proud to say that anaqi is still exclusively nursing with me. WOOO HOOOOO!!!
was actually a bit concerned when his weight gain started to slow down after his 6th month - kakak had faithfully remained within her percentile throughout her first year.
but then read an article which comforted me - at least i know it’s not something i ate or did not eat
- it’s more on what kakak fed on as versus anaqi
on kakak:
when we started enrolling kakak to her current pre-school, her nenek was quite concerned whether her spiritual needs will be fulfilled (read, ada tak blaja agama?)
we responded that it is in the curriculum - but frankly, after the 1/2 year point - i have yet to obtain any feedback from kakak on any agama classes.
she put her nenek’s fears to rest last two weeks when out of the blue, she recited the arabic alphabets (alif-ba-ta). terus dapat cium from nenek - heh heh. though, she still refers to the religious teacher as teacher faridah instead of ustazah.
her school concert will be in nov - can’t wait!! kakak has been demonstrating to us the steps for her concert. amir will definitely will be prepared with his digicam - even nenek wants to attend (note to self: need to confirm with the school if it’s okay to bring along other interested parties)
