am supposed to be catching up on sleep.. but since anaqi has turned into quite the avid feeder nowadays.. i end up waking up after 1/2 hr of dozing off.. so tonite i decided to just catch up on frens through their blogs….

come tomorrow it will be 21 days since i’ve been in confinement.. ergh.. it sounds like some capital punishment for new mothers kehkeh.. nasib bukan solitary confinement. i’d go crazy.. as it is am already itching to go out.. have a long list of things i plan to buy.. so beware shopping malls and hypermarts… once i reach the magic number of 40 (if mama has her way, it’ll be 44… but i’d like to get that extra 3 days of earlier freedom… *degil dak?*)

don’t u just love online banking? me, the control freak, would have ended up lining up at the post office or some other counter with my tapel/pilis and be-bengkung-ed self to settle em bills if not for online banking…

 

so here we are… nearly 3 weeks after my last post. i’ve been meaning to update since the first week but connection’s been such a drag that week - i tried uploading photos a few times but kept failing to fully carry out the task that i gave up .. confined mothers need their sleep u know..

so for most, i’ve already sent out mass text msgs informing of the new arrival - anaqi furqan.

born on 03.02.07.. @ 3:13 pm - weighing in at 3.71 kgs.. this lil one arrived just 2 hrs ++ after his mama checked into the maternity ward of GHKL on the same day.. amir had planned to be in the labor room when i delivered this tot but god had other plans for us that day.. amir left with kya after we checked into the ward @ roughly 2:30pm… the nurses wheeled me into the labor room @ 2:40pm.. didn’t even manage to inform amir i was heading for the labor room

but alhamdulillah - the delivery was relatively smooth.. apart from the part where i forgot how to push .. (it’s been nearly 4 years since my last delivery what?!)…

wops… anaqi needs his feed… til later !!

was restless while sleeping last night… felt what could pass as contractions roughly around 5 am this morn…. ignored it and tried to go back to sleep… woke again at 6 to accompany kakak for her nature call… then proceeded to answer mine.. that’s when i saw the ’show’ (one of the signs of going into labor) - that was about 6:45am..

it’s 10:00 am now and i am timing the contractions… was it supposed to be from the start of one contraction to another or between the contractions?.. i can’t remember… so that’s why i am online at this point of time.. to confirm with babycenter.com kekeke

my bags are packed - i am ready to go… (sung to the tune of leaving on a jet plane)

so wish me luck guys.. and next post, insya ALLAH, will be with a new addition to the family…

muahahha… i never thot i’d say this.. but when ??? when????!!!

on one hand i just can’t wait to deliver

but on the other, i keep thinking about leaving kakak at home while i am at the hospital - then i keep thinking - okay, one other day of waiting is also a blessing - more time to spend with kakak before the new addition to the family arrives.
