11 Syawal 1427H – chronicles of a preggy lady post eid fitr

short story one:
on the eve of the day i had to return to work, i actually dreamt that i delivered. at atuk’s house, of all places. with me mum and aunties actually attending to me – no doctors or midwives around.
then in that dream i went thinking – i have to report back to work tomorrow. and then realised that, hey… you just delivered a baby… you’re on maternity leave already dude…
then i woke up – and it was monday morning. *blegh*
short story two:
this week i bumped into a senior from skool who very bluntly asked “are you expecting?” to my nodded agreement, she commented “well, thing is you don’t look like you’re pregnant. you look fat”
ouwchhh!! it didn’t matter that this illusion of fatness was created more due to me hijacking one of me mum’s baju kurung, somehow i got a bit vain and ended up in the ladies to really check out my reflection.Â
only from this skool would you have people say things as bluntly as that.
short story three:
had to take the lrt home today – kakak was asleep and amir didn’t want to risk her waking up seeing that her papa has left for klcc without her. as usual, there was a quite a crowd on board the coaches. was standing quiet near those seats that were supposedly reserved for the elderly, disabled and pregnant ladies.
managed to maintain eye contact with one lady – i was silently sending subliminal messages to her to give up her seat. can’t you see my bulging tummy? … then the crowd shifted a bit and i saw that the one lady i managed to get eye contact with was also sporting a bulging tummy!~
*sigh* so much for getting a seat now

did that phat comment came from a tkcian? ‘cos a tkcian senior once told her friend, in front of me “she’s my junior, she used to be real thin. look at her now, she’s huge!â€
ha ha.. definitely tkcian.. from none other… when i went to melbourne & ended up in the same residential house with her – she wondered when did i grow so tall.. (as compared to her la) i wondered too
do you realise all those seniors seem kenit2 when you see them now. i guess they looked larger than life when you’re at the receiving end of one of those never-ending lectures
