am connecting again @ awana due to some ‘important & urgent’ emails that needs attending to. rerupa nya ada some additional training required *fuming*

pisses me off, this. last minute requests when it has been specifically stated that advanced notice should be provided. if i have training rooms available at the snap of my fingers - i wouldn’t mind much. …. wargh

ok la.. i’m done with the ‘important & urgent’ emails.

am going upstairs (yup… among the few hotels that insists people leave their rooms to be connected to the Net) to spend quality time with family. toodles

am trying out the wifi @ awana kijal. am here for biz. until thurs & brought along the family (it was amir who actually brought me as he did the driving)

but posting using atom is pretty much a hellish experience as wordpress layout as I normally access it, ain’t that mobile friendly - hence my preference for using notebooks for surfing the Net.

i have 3 brothers… aged ranging from 13 - 23 y.o.

the 2nd one is supposed to be sitting for his spm(mce) papers which starts this week.

the family is worried.

on normal school days, he would sometimes just decide not to attend his classes - which is normal but not serious in his case (according to the parent-teacher meetings that my parents attend)

but this is his spm year - we had hoped that he would mend his ways. but it actually got worse, he’s spending more time hanging out with his friends then going to school.

and now it’s already crunch time.

as mama says, ’nanti bila dia dah dapat results dia, baru dia tau tinggi rendah langit’

and i seriously hope so - for mama & papa’s sake, if not for his own. 

 

pregnant lady went downstairs during lunch.

made a detour to one of the many bank branches located near the lobbies. completed transaction within 5 minutes of taking her number.

pregnant lady at loss of what to eat - tummy grumbling, feotus kicking - decided to head for that french outlet opposite the south american chicken outlet.

was waited upon by a trainee waitress - who answered most of pregnant lady’s questions re: the new items on the menu with ‘i don’t know.. i am new’

i no understand… why shouldn’t you know?? are you not even curious of what you’re serving????

itu pun sabo lagi. just ordered the bloody new item on menu (beef briskette (wtf?) - which was supposedly on a lunch deal - complete with soup-of-the-day and some fancy dessert)

was twiddling with atom while waiting for her order. 5-6 minutes after this pregnant lady placed her order, the manager came to her and explained that the lunch deal is no longer valid - would you like to change your order?

thoughts that ran in pregnant lady’s mind and was actually verbalised:

1. why the heck was the item left on the menu if it is no longer valid? you’re just plain asking for trouble.

2. why the heck didn’t the waitress tell me this upfront, while i was asking a multitude of questions re: the new items?

to both queries, the manager just sheepishly apologised.

pregnant lady had to go through the menu again - asked for chicken bolognese. manager said - we’re sold out of that item 

what??? how can u be sold out when it’s only the start of lunch time? who the heck eats pasta in the morning?

tempted to just walk out - but since have invested 15 minutes in waiting/placing order/getting pissed, decided to stick it out and ordered chicken cordon bleu (which thankfully, they still had stock :razz:)

so 5-8 minutes later got her order (the drink only arrived after the second attempt at ordering although no changes were made) - ate her meal - paid friggin 24 ringgit inclusive of lousy service and so-so f&b and left still fuming.

so used to love this place - but am slowly hating it.

 was in the midst of uploading those raya photos when kakak came nearby and saw photos of her as a baby in one of the albums.

when asked who’s pictures were those, kakak said ‘baby lahh…!‘

corrected her and said ‘memang la baby.. tapi ni kakak mase kakak baby’

to which she proudly said ‘kakak so cute!!!’

my firstborn - the very soul of humility.

people say that pregnant ladies should look at a lot of cute baby pictures while expecting - such that the baby will turn out cute too. now… if the baby turns up cute but looks nothing like the parents, wouldn’t that be a cause for worry?

so anne geddes’ baby posters seem to be the most popular choice for baby posters…. i used to find ’em cute (back when i was in studying - the best of times to be looking at baby photos.. best source of destressant) but now… feels like those babies are exploited plak.. or maybe that’s just me being jealous coz never managed to ask kakak to look & pose just the way i want
