30 Ramadhan 1427H – chronicles of a preggy lady on leave (part 2)

so i’ve managed to accomplish what i planned

  • prepare kuah kacang ala mama’s recipe (1st attempt at preparing it all by myself – about time… since amir’s crazy about kuah kacang and ketupat)
  • prepare ketupat (of course the instant kind – sri nona or whatchamacallit)
  • bake another batch of honey cornflakes (i see this as a fast moving item during raya later)
  • do all outstanding laundry
  • change the draperies (not new ones, mind you – this set was the one mama papa ordered when i got hitched)
  • packed items to bring to in-laws

list of outstanding tasks

  • bake another batch of chocolate chip cookies (yet another fast moving item – all due not to the potential guests – more to inhouse cookie monsters)
  • iron family raya outfit (wondering whether the main raya baju kurung i made for raya still fits – we’ll know tomorrow)
  • pack for potential overnite @ atuk’s in tg malim on 2nd syawal
  • get me that chocolate milkshake that mcd’s s’wangsa didn’t have

it’s all so quite over here as the masses has left the residential area – when woke up for sahor this morn – the whole row of houses behind ours was dark. raya morning will see the street clear of cars that are normally parked haphazardly – your normal middle-class township sight.

so here’s to the last day of ramadhan – may it end with us achieving to lose not only kilos but also gain in spiritual enlightenment (chewahh!!~ cam real je)

    dura: maciiihh… on sunday nite, i actually dreamt i delivered @ my mom’s childhood home… with all my aunties around me … subconsciously takmo masuk balik keje sampai mimpi nak deliver ekekek

    nina: muahahah… i guess this is what the pregnancy books describe as ‘nesting instinct’… some soon-to-be mommies would start pottering around the house – mcm those birds preparing a nest for their offspring.. when preggy with kya takde plak rasa rajin camtu…
