yeah! got me a new notebook
fara | 2/24/2006 | 5:17 pm1 mth and a half ago, my notebook dieded on me. it was on new year’s day. what a way to celebrate new year – thank you very much.
thank god it was not my own – it was the one assigned to me by the company. so i returned it to my IT dept, hoping that it could be saved. alas! the IT doctor told me they have to pull the plug on that one.
seeing that this is the case, i asked whether i could get me a temporary notebook. the nature of my work requires me to be able to lug around my work. my luck ran out there too – all the floating notebooks have already been assigned to others. a request was raised for a new notebook under me name.
after a lot of mails flying between myself, project leader, IT dept guy and mainly finance, i finally got me new notebook on wednesday. lighter – supposedly much better performing and with wlan & bluetooth to boot!
found out yesterday that the supposed bluetooth connectivity was a misinformation – boo hoo. and here i was all ready to start doing some bluejacking.. keh keh..
let’s see how long this notebook will last.
