she’s crazy about pooh and the 100 acre woods family.

if she’s throwing a tantrum for whatever reason, could always count on her suddenly goin’ quiet once one of her pooh dvds is switched on.

last nite on disney channel, for the disney movies slot @ 7pm - they aired the tigger movie. we’ve never watched that one b4 and naturally she was hooked. since kya was otherwise occupied, i managed to cover quite a few chapters in the book i was currently reading (woe is me if i tried reading whilst she wants to play, the book/novel/magazine/paper will go flying across the room)

suddenly i noticed that she was exceptionally quiet. normally, you’d be able to see her excitedly jumping around to tigger or singing along or just making exclamations. tore my focus from the book & checked her out - she was hugging her knees while sitting infront of the telly and she also had one arm across her eyes. i thought she had fallen asleep - so much for tigger!

then i noticed her right eye blinking from under that arm. her expression was very solemn but still intent on the movie. swung my attention to what was currently happening - it was the part where tigger was out in a snowstorm trying to find his tigger family & the rest of the 100 acre wood gang was out looking for tigger - quite heartrending scene.

i pulled kya close & asked her what was wrong. her body suddenly started heaving from silent sobs. she was actually feeling quite devastated with the scene - she can’t stand if one of the characters is crying/sad/lost/miserable. had to hold her close and kept assuring her that everything will turn out ok. only when tigger started his trademark whoops (hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!!) did kya actually release her grip from around her knees.
