she’s turning two!

kya as a newborn
* WPG2 CANNOT LOCATE GALLERY2 ITEM BY * she didn’t look like anyone i knew. but mama said that she was a spittin’ image of me as a baby. which of course made me dig up ye olde’ photo albums available. the most trying month for me, to say the least. try being allowed only to shuffle along (mama has a thing abt walking briskly during the first weeks of confinement) but also expected to respond immediately to the call of the wild.. eh.. the child. sleep was scarce - when all the pregnancy/mothering/parenting for dummies books says that it’s important that we get rest. hah! but watching her sleep (after having her fill, that is) is quite the treat. it still is til today.

* WPG2 CANNOT LOCATE GALLERY2 ITEM BY * by her 4th month, kya (at that point was still known as ashley), have finally settled into her sleep routine *thank god* and i was finally a bit sane. she hates the baby car seat like the plague so we usually end up placing her with me in the front passenger seat. yes. i know. dangerous with a capital ‘D’. but she knows how to stay put - most of the time.
babbles non-stop even if nobody talks to her. i keep expecting to see her teeth emerge somehow. that wait turned into a 6mths ++ wait in the end as the first tooth only appeared when she was nearing 1!
