* WPG2 CANNOT LOCATE GALLERY2 ITEM BY *it was our project leader’s bday yesterday. we ended up lunching at avenue-k burger king (deserted when we arrived, but ended up full when we left - methinks we bring luck to that outlet :razz:) and got him a cake. when asked of his age, he blithely answered ‘eighteen’

that was my answer too, when i reached my 18 + 1 bday while in melbourne. the song by bryan adams kept ringing in my ears everytime my birthday comes around.

but it stopped ringing in my ears after i got married .. good thing too! can’t go acting like an adolescent forever! .. more like an adultescent .. though sometimes i do get mistaken as kya’s sister … yeee haaa!

* WPG2 CANNOT LOCATE GALLERY2 ITEM BY * the team couldn’t finish off the cake.. secret recipe’s cakes are known to be rich.. *burp* and we were missing 2 team members so there were 2 extra slices. the question then was to keep in the office or to bring it home? logically it should reach the home of the birthday body but right after they’ve done with the eating - the whole team magically disappeared (the fact that we had a minor blackout minutes before may have something to do with that - nobody wants to be stuck after hours)

so i ended up taking the cake home and kya happily consumed half a slice all by herself! which surprised me since kya’s not known as one who has a sweet tooth .. her mama is! .. our earlier efforts to feed her with cakes and sweet desserts are usually met with a disgusted look on her face and accompanied with a lot of food being spitted out.

not a pretty sight.

while we’re on the topic of teeth - i can detect 4 more emerging teeth - all over her gums. they don’t grow according to sequence at all! will attempt a snapshot of her gums and (1,2,3,4..) 8 teeth.. though don’t know how successful i’d be.

ok.. time to shove off for the weekend. i’m parked downstairs and it’s gonna cost a bomb!

hide and seek the movie

coz i wouldn’t be able to reduce the volume at those creepy parts or pause the movie when i feel absolutely freaked (oh the horrors.. they had to make a creepy movie abt imaginary friends.. and dakota fanning is too cute)

got me too much of an active imagination - thanks to all those late nights staying up reading stephen king and the likes in my dormitory at school.

i think i’ll wait til this is on vcd/dvd.

now what other (non-horror) movies are there to be watched?

all i did during the looooong weekend was sleep eat play watch dvds and take snapshots of kya.

shifting out of my neutral gear would take at least 1 1/2 day.

well on the way to being a muslimah.

all though everything’s game once the kid grows up and starts mixing around. at that point, all we can do is pray that she has her own mind and not get swept by peer pressure.

am finally going to get my arse over to GHKL and visit this friend of mine . truly don’t feel like i can call myself a friend seeing that she’s been in and out of the hospital since sept 04 and i only managed to fit in a visit today.

update:
saw her, spent 2 hrs just catching up on how she’s been (apart from what she’s already posted on her blog) and giving back goss on the company. all the while being very overwhelmed at seeing how thin/pale she’s grown, the very matter-of-fact way she details out all the things she’s been through, and realising how lonely it is to be staying in the ward for as long as she has had to.

oh.. and managed to appropriate one novel from the book bag that was meant for her sorry nadd ! been awhile since i’ve read chic lit.

those who have lived with me know that i could do without having rice as part of my daily staple. i can survive on bread, fish fingers, cereals, salami, honey, dairy (butter, milk and cheese) and peanut butter (not in any particular order). breakfast can be toast with butter and honey AND peanut butter. lunch can be salami slapped between toast - don’t forget the cheese - and grill this. dinner.. can be toast again. or salami toast. or cereals. whichever.

but since i bunk with my family, of course we have to have rice on our menu. i normally don’t cook. that’s mama’s absolute zone ehehehe.. i ‘help’ out sometimes. but on weekends, especially when mama and papa attend wedding invitations, head for that quick trip back to tg malim or just visiting relatives and my clan don’t tag along, i will end up having to cook.

today’s one of those days.

now i understand why ayu would sometimes end up with a bad mood if my brothers don’t help looking out for their nephews - adam and haikal. children will almost always call for you when you’re in the midst of a task. but when you’re just sitting around doing nuthin, they can usually fend for themselves and play with their toys.

kya knocked on the kitchen door - it’s closed since the menu involves a lot of frying and chillies - at least 5 times throughout my tenure as the resident chef. andy’s supposed to entertain her as per my instruction but of course he had to be in front of the pc playing ragnarok.

‘mamaaaa….‘ knock knockk ‘mamaaaaaa.. intuu ‘kakk..’kakkk intuuu ‘ and then she’ll start shrieking coz andy tries to pick her up from near the door and i’ll end up having to stop and try and figure out what she wants.

thus a 1 hr session turned into a two hour cooking spree.

kya’s finally asleep. amir is also asleep. andy’s infront of the pc, still. and i came across this while prowling the web before taking a shower (need to get the smell of cooking offa me)
