we arrived home from kampung on 4th syawal (wednesday) when i realised that we hadn’t taken our family photo yet. since everybody’s home now – my sis and her family joined us at tg malim and tagged along back to krmt – it’s the best time to get some updating done to our family album.

which is how, on the 5th syawal, saw us donning our raya best (instead of 1st syawal). it’s definitely been awhile since we had any family photos taken. there’s always one or two missing from the picture.

i counted the number of heads and saw that within 4 yrs (starting from when i arrived home with my degree) our ragtag clan of 7 have morphed into 11 (+ 2 son-in-laws and 3 grandchildren)

looking back at when i graduated, this year was the year that i planned to settle down. in my mind back then, i need to get me my own house and a car before taking the plunge and my goal was to obtain all this by 2004. what transpired in actual fact is that within those 4 yrs, not only did i get me a house and car, i also managed get me a hubby and a baby hoo hoo!

now looking for new horizons to aim for.

amir bought me a new phone ! yippie

nuthing’s wrong with the old one.. just that it would occassionally decide to take a hiatus when it feels like it (mostly when i would be in dire need of contacting somebody). and the keypads are losing their responsiveness (i like to use the sms feature, a lot, so this pisses me off)

was watching mtv (or was it hitz.tv – the mtv wannabe?) when i saw the advert on downloading ringtones. lamented on how the phone that i use is not compatible with most ringtones made available. downloading it ain’t the issue. it’s having to bear with the sound of it on my mobile that hurts ( i am lame, yeah )

suddenly amir said ‘ ok, let’s go get you a new one ‘. rush to get kya ready (no more at a moment’s notice outings since the baby) and we were off!

went to the nearest ‘hello’ station – authorised dealers for nokia phones. after a lot of fiddling around with a few phones, tonnes of questions and kya – having decided she wants to be a self-appointed interior designer – rearranging the stools at the outlet, we finally settled with the Nokia 6260.

have yet to test it. prolly will finally try out surfing using me phone (although my last two phones actually allow me to do this – but with displays that are smaller that my eyes can handle, i decided to wait). will get back on this.

am off to admire my new gadget. and to give amir another kiss and some for the phone ahaks! too deloo!

lo and behold! she now has teeth!

well…. it’s actually been 2 months since the appearence of her first incisors. but as my dear kya always get excited whenever i whip out my trusty digital camera, the photos always end up having either views of her tonsils (when she tries to eat the lenses), her big eyes (she tries to take my photo instead) or the back of her head.

so here it is. the one photo i managed to snap. all four pearls.

it’s actually hari raya .. look at the time! have only just managed to iron the outfits for the faramir clan (amir managed to collect his on friday). the theme for this year is purple. all made from the same material. (last raya was blue but of different material/designs)

i am now officially guilty of what my parents did when my siblings were young – wanting those cutesy looking color-coordinated family (or at least, siblings) getups. thehehe. i declared mutiny when i was 11. at that point i had become tired of being asked whether my sis and i were twins. i could never understand where they got that idea.
